Design Story

The front panel does the heavy lifting: a gold basketball emblem reading LOS ANGELES LAKERS, topped with a red-and-white Santa hat, sitting dead center where the eye lands first. Below it, a red banner reads CHRISTMAS EDITION, anchoring the composition like a caption line. Around that, the wraparound design layers holly, snowflakes, a tied ribbon bow and diagonal candy-stripe sweeps in purple, gold, red and green. It should be chaotic. It isn't, because the designer kept the emblem large, centered and uncluttered while pushing the festive detail to the edges. The faceted rhinestone texture catches light across every curve, so the graphic reads differently from every angle.
